Our Team

Kelsi Anderson

After traveling to Haiti for the first time in July of 2017, Kelsi was called to help battle malnourishment in Haiti while still living in the states. During her first trip to Haiti, it was laid on her heart to create some sort of nutrition program to battle malnutrition to help those in the villages that she was at throughout her time in the country. Unsure of what this would look like in the states, she spent many hours planning and praying through the details while patiently waiting to see what was to come. After almost 2 years of planning and prayer, Backpack Haiti is underway and is taking the steps to break malnutrition in the mountains of Haiti that holds a special place in her heart.

RJ Olmstead

Assistant Director

A consistent traveler and active university student, RJ constantly looks for ways that God can use him. This led RJ to Haiti where he witnessed first hand the amazing people and community throughout the country. Having been called to serve in all things, RJ works with Backpack Haiti to help those in need by planning, editing, and communicating with our team, as well as the sponsors who are generous enough to help Backpack Haiti.

Conner McKenzie

Social Media Manager

Conner has traveled to Haiti on two separate trips where he knew God was moving in so many incredible ways. From the moment he landed, he felt God’s presence in the nation of Haiti. As he traveled to different locations around Port-au-Prince, he had the opportunity to meet a numerous amount of incredible people and felt the love of God through those people. The faith of the Haitian people is nothing short of an inspiration, and it is why Conner has aspired to join Backpack Haiti to fight the malnutrition that is present among the people of Haiti.
